January 2001

Gavin spent the month at home, in L.A. and San Diego working on various projects and meeting with various music executives. Gavin worked with Jerry Davis, Music Supervisor at FOX Sports on possibly developing original music for the program “Bound For Glory.” Gavin also met with the production team of the science adventure TV pilot “Dangerous Waters” who hired him to write the theme as well as underscore music. Gavin opened a relationship with Disney, ESPN, NFL Films and various music supervisors.

February

Gavin continued developing relationships with music industry executives. Mike Persh from E! asked Gavin for a spec project music library of instrumental music for the Style Network.

March

Gavin worked hard this month on composing and recording 20 compositions for the Style Network.                  

April

Exciting news!!! Gavin’s song “Promised Land”, co-produced by Scott Urquhart, and featuring vocals by David Casper was placed on the NBC program “Passions”. It was a featured visual vocals in two spots, which is a rare occurrence on a show. The air date was April 17. Gavin celebrated this major credit at his birthday dinner party April 5 with friends and family.

Also this month, Gavin contracted to be represented by Fifth Member Management in L.A.

Summer 2001

Gavin once again hooked up with Producer Scott Urquhart and recorded 4 new original songs: “My Undivided Attention,” “Troubles Are Temporary,” “If You Walk Away” and “History”. These tracks featured vocals by Laynee, Jenny Little, Melisa Kary and David Casper. Once again, standout guitar work by Erik Schramm.

Gavin followed this up by shopping the new tunes thru his agent, Dave Casey.

September and October

Gavin received interest in his music from Cathy Lemmon of Artist Development Network in Nashville. She is shopping Gavin’s songs gratis, telling Gavin that is how they do business there.

November and December

Gavin continued to open new doors in the Nashville music scene.
